Hamden Elks Distribute American Flags on Memorial Day

In remaining true to their motto, “So long as there are Veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them,” members of Hamden Elks Lodge #2224, serving Hamden and North Haven, recently participated in the North Haven and Hamden Memorial Day Parades. Hamden Lodge members handed out approximately 500 American flags to spectators along each parade route, in remembrance of those who fought and sacrificed for those freedoms we hold so dear. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks promote Americanism, Veterans, Youth Activities and Drug Awareness Programs within our communities. Hamden Lodge President Brian Forsyth and his wife, Past President Karen Forsyth, generously donated this year’s flags.
