Hamden Lodge Hosts CT Elks Association Event: Milton Creagh

Elks Drug Awareness Program Presented Milton Creagh at Hamden Lodge on April 23

Renowned youth motivational speaker and National Elks Drug Awareness Program spokesperson Milton Creagh spoke on Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Hamden Lodge 2224, upper hall, located at 175 School Street in Hamden. His visit was sponsored and funded by the Elks National Foundation and the Connecticut Elks Association’s (CEA) Drug Awareness Program. Milt speaks to students, teachers and parents about the perilous consequences of drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse. His talks also included an anti-bullying component. Last year during his CT Elks Tour, “Bigg Milt” (as he is known due to his 6’7” height) delivered his fiery, hard-hitting, no-nonsense message to almost 5,000 students across the state. April is Alcohol Awareness month, and the timing of Milton’s visit could not be more appropriate as the Hamden Youth Advisory Council (HYAC) in their Positive Choices Campaign to prevent underage drinking and drug use encouraged all to attend this free event which takes place during ”Positive Choices” Awareness Week in Hamden.
