Elks Care … Elks Share

Elks Upcoming Events

When it comes to charitable events, Hamden Elks members come out of the woodwork to get the job done! Fund raising is nothing new to this crew and the membership sponsors many charitable events to raise money for our Youth, Veterans and Americanism Programs, as well as charitable endeavors to provide for those less fortunate.

Perhaps foremost is the Connecticut Children’s Medical Hospital (CCMC) where we spend a great deal of our time raising funds for the children. CCMC is the Connecticut Elk’s Association (CEA) Major Project, and for quite some time $100,000 has been donated annually due to the generosity of CEA and local Lodges who have contributed to the fund.

Second, would probably be the veterans. Do you like your life here in America? Thank a Word War II vet, then. It was their efforts that allow us to enjoy our lives as we know them today.

Please take a look at this month’s calendar, to see what we do at Hamden Lodge. For Elks members who would like to access upcoming events if you find that the calendar listings are lacking, consider going to http://www.ctelks.org/component/users/?view=login use this link, log in, or click on “Hamden” on the State map and download our most recent newsletter!!!

Please note that most calendar events are open to the members only and their guests, including meals served throughout the month. Some events are open to the public. For information on becoming a member, member/public status of upcoming events or to support and become involved in the Hamden Elks –- an organization dedicated to patriotism, service to our hospitalized veterans, as well as youth scholarship, sports and drug prevention programs – contact Andy Caporossi at 203 819-6961.
